Dyson Headquarters Extension

Newts in bottle trapIES Consulting ran the ecological aspects of the extension to Dyson’s Headquarters in Malmesbury. This extremely time-sensitive project involved a great crested newt licence, a badger licence, translocation of common reptiles, clerk of works support and the provision of ecological permits to work. We worked closely with the entire project team, including archaeologists, ground investigation and the construction team to ensure that the ecology on site was protected and enhanced, and to prevent delays to the programme. Great crested newts colonised the new ponds which were created on site less than one year after they were installed.

Four Oaks

Four OaksIES Consulting provided ecological advice and obtained a badger licence for a temporary closure of a sett adjacent to this new housing development. Surveys were also carried out on the existing buildings, which showed they could be redeveloped without impacting bats.

Luckington Church

Luckington ChurchIES Consulting undertook  bat surveys on Luckington Church and obtained a bat licence to allow the required repair works to take place without affecting the four different species of bat which roost in the building.
